Host a Seattle Street Sink.
The Seattle Street Sink is for the community, by the community. It is an expression of solidarity that promotes safety denied to people by systems that categorize them as "less than" because of their age, race, or financial situation.
If your business or organization is located in the Seattle area and would like to find out more about hosting a Seattle Street Sink, get in touch!
To host a Seattle Street Sink on your property, you will need:
A reliable exterior water source (hose bib) within 100 feet of sink location.
Flat 4’ x 4’ area (min.) for the sink and planter. If you would like a "wheelchair friendly" sink, we will consult with you to find the most suitable location.
Permission to host sink on property.
By agreeing to install a Seattle Street Sink at your organization, you agree to the following Host responsibilities:
Checking the water connection daily/weekly.
Refilling soap dispenser with liquid hand soap.
Logging soap usage on SSS Google Doc (optional).
Basic repairs (reconnecting hose, replacing legs).
Covering the cost of water.
Maintaining and caring for the sink long term.
